Oh, sorry, just got off the Disney Wonder with my family. My mind is still swaying like I am on a ship and I can't get that darn classic Disney song out of my mind. I have much to tell and still have catching up from 9/22 weddings, sessions, etc. In the meantime...
meet Lila and Cole.
The great thing about photographing destination weddings is that, if I am in town long enough, I can schedule a few sessions for my long-time clients, like Lila and Cole's mom. Aren't their eyes amazing?
Much more later about the happenings here at DVB, later this week. I am off the unpack, do laundry, pack lunches --you know, Mom stuff --but I didn't want you to start the week without a quick blog post.
Have a good one!

It was a big weekend for DVB Photographers! and I am so proud of my Company Photographers, Allison and Heather...they knocked out some fabulous images for Ben and Leah while I was shooting a destination wedding in Ohio (more on that later). I just have to share their fabulous work ---
Leah and Ben were wonderful when I met them for a consultation and I was so bummed that I couldn't share their special day. Allison and Heather said they were so much fun and wonderful the whole day...you can tell in the images.
Leah's dress -- WOW! I just love it when bride picks a dress that suits her perfectly. When I saw the images, I was in awe of the amazing dress and how it made Leah shine.
Ben and Leah saw one another before the wedding to capture portraits. I love when brides and grooms do this because it makes the rest of the day so fun and relaxing --the portrait is over. Couples can enjoy their party. We can focus on caputuring the mood and details of the event and the couples get to spend a lot of alone time together --that is the biggest bonus. Here is them seeing one another for the first time.
And it looks like I missed one of the events of the year...Harvey Designsdesigned the florals. Minette Rushing, of course, designed the cake. And Anne Bone at the fabulous Telfair played host to the event. Can't forget who rocked the house...DeWayne Tanner, VIP Entertainment.
Ben and Leah, thank you for choosing DVB. Have a great honeymoon!
For all my beloved blog followers, I am off for a little R&R on aboard the Disney Wonder. No email or phone access so I'll get back with you Monday if you need me:)
Jeanene and Rick tied the knot last Saturday in a good old-fashioned morning wedding. It was so fun to shoot because I never had to worry about it getting too dark to shoot and Jeanene and Rick were so relaxed about everything. They let me drag them all over the historic district for some great photographs. Thanks, you guys!
I am off to my home state, Ohio, tomorrow to photograph the wedding of Betsy and Jeff. It has been a while since I have worked in a Northern location with the leaves and grass. I am so excited because they are getting married in a MetroPark (one of the great jewels of Northeast Ohio) and because they are willing to hike all over to for the sake of fabulous images. I can't wait to show you when I get back.
And my ShootQ conference was absolutely amazing. This new software is web-based and will allow DVB Photographers to take the DVB experience to the next level. You are going to love it. I expect to launch it by January, 2008.
Yes, I am gone again. I have a hectic two weeks of travel. Today I am off to Philly for a Photography Conference. Ever committed to customer service and a cutting edge studio, I am learning a new software called Shoot Q along with 12 other fabulous photographers including Susan Stripling, Cliff Mauter, Joy Moody, etc. I am thrilled to get to know industry colleagues because there is always something to learn...a new way to grow, etc. I am so excited.
Then I am off to Hudson, OH for a wonderful outdoor wedding for Jeff and Betsey. I promise there will be great images when I return.
And Christa, you are so right. I have to slow down and I will after October 1st:)
